Class E499.3 electric locomotives (class 163 today) are four-axle universal electric locomotives designed for operation on overhead electrified lines with supply voltage of 3kV DC. They were produced between 1984 and 1992 and were intended for passenger and freight trains.
The locomotive model allows the player to sit behind the virtual control panel of this locomotive class and try out what it's like to operate the controls in cabins and, at least for a moment, take the role of a real train driver.
Among other things, the model includes:
- advanced brake and traction model
- first version of train safety device LS IV
- simulation of two independent cabins
- authentic sounds recorded on real machines
- possibility of complete start-up proceure, so-called "cold start" or use of quick-start
- automatic speed regulation (ARR)
- accurate model of both the interior and exterior
